In the first eight months of 2018 (January–August), the export of products manufactured by Orkla Foods Latvija in Spilve, Babite region, has increased by +17%, compared to the same period in 2017. The highest increase in export of Orkla Foods Latvija was observed on the Finnish market, where products worth 2.3 million euros were exported in the first eight months of this year.
“The operation of Orkla Foods Latvija develops actively on export markets. In the first eight months of this year, the highest increase in export volumes was in Finland – by +30%, in Lithuania – by +55% and in Denmark – by +60%, compared to the same period one year ago. The largest export markets of the company are still Finland, Estonia and Lithuania,” informs Lolita Bemhena, the Head of Orkla Foods Latvija.
In 2018, Orkla Foods Latvija restored its export to Kazakhstan.
“We have started cooperation with a new partner in Kazakhstan. Now, Spilva dressings are widely represented in stores of Almaty and other cities, whereas later in this year it is planned to extend the range of our products in Kazakhstan with Spilva apple purees,” explains the Head of Orkla Foods Latvija.
Products of Orkla Foods Latvija are available on export markets both under the brand Spilva, and under brands more widely known on local markets – Beauvais, Felix, Vitana.
